Birthday Footballs Cake

Two co-workers had a birthday this month: Stefanie and Albert. We normally just do one cake a month to keep the sugar in take down and combine all the birthdays in one. So comes the task of picking a theme that suits each of the birthday peoples...in this case, FOOTBALL! Happy birthday, you two!

Grandma's Basket of Flowers cake

My Great-Grandma Dewey's birthday was yesterday. Made this for to enjoy with the family. I haven't done the basketweave on a cake since I learned it in class over a year ago! I'm surprised how quickly it came back to me. I loved it.

Present Wrapped with Rainbow Bow Cake

Made this for a going away party for three kids. I didn't know how else to incorporate all of their interests so I gave them a little going away "present", they seemed to like it pretty well. Lol

Racecar Track Cake

Made this cake for a Hotwheels themed birthday party for a 2 year old. The mom later added some cars to the top of the cake.

Texas Ranger Star Cake

As much as it pains me to say, my Daddy doesn't care too much for fondant so when it came time for his birthday, it was back to the basics with my frosting tips. Not that I minded lol. Daddy is a big Walker, Texas Ranger fan, I grew up watching reruns too. But there were only so many ways to incorporate that into cake using only buttercream frosting...so here was my interpretation... Happy Birthday Daddy! I love you!

Gabbie's SpongeBob SquarePants Cake

My little niece, Gabbie, turns 2 this month. Her bday party was last weekend where SpongeBob SquarePants was set on display and later devoured. This is my first "character" cake and I was super nervous. Although I know of a few things that I would definitely change if I was to do this again, I like how it came out. Although, I'd like to give a special shout-out to my BF, Stefanie...couldn't have done this cake without you! Thanks for all of your help! And, of course, Happy Birthday, Gabbie!!
